In their last outing of the season Horley Men's 2nds played a rearranged fixture against Trinity after a serious injury halted their earlier fixture.

The final game of the season saw Horley at home in a rearranged fixture against Trinity amid Whitgifians after the first fixture was abandoned following a head injury to a TMW player.

TMW returned with a much younger and inexperienced side, whilst HHC had a good line, a rarity in recent weeks. HHC made their intentions clear early on with some forays into the TMW defensive area, whilst their defence held well against the young attack. The first goal was a little while coming, but it came for HHC through Humza Mirza on the left post. Two goals from captain Chris Stevens in his last game as captain gave the home team a good lead decode TMW replied.

The hockey was effective but certainly not pretty as HHC went into the half time break in the lead.

The second half saw goals at both ends with score for Adeel Bhatti (2), Humza Khan (2), Humza Mirza(1), and Michael Whitmore (1). Chris Stevens saw out the game with a hat-trick. TMW never gave up ad scored three more of their own, including one spectacular undercut shot from top D.

With the score line ending at 9-3 to the home team, HHC were happy to end the season with a win, finishing 6th in their league, on the money for the target set by club coach Pete Bradby at the start of the season.
