First week of the new season complete!

Horley L1's 4 - 1 Aces L1's

Horley conceded first, but fought back into the match with an sweetly struck equaliser from Clare Bruce.

A 2nd soon followed with a lovely through ball to Hareem Ahmed, saw her run into the D, and slide the ball past the keeper with a very composed finish in her first league match! The game swung Horleys way further, with Kelly Nel tapping him from close range at a short corner.

A fourth goal was the icing on the cake with Kelly showing her goal scoring prowess again and the game finished 4-1. A great start to the season for Horley Ladies

Horley M1's 5 - 3 Kenley 1's

Following an unbeaten season and promotion into Surrey Div 2, Horley faced Kenley who were relegated from Surrey Div 1 last season. A tough opening fixture and a good test for the season to come!

It was a test that the M1's passed with flying colours, with goals from Jochem Birrell-Gray x2, Stephen Grout x2 and Harrie Carnochan.

Special mention to Ralph who also made his first M1's appearance as a Goalkeeper and made some amazing saves

Horley M2's 6 v 2 Merton Boars

Horley faced familiar foes in Merton Boars, as they both were promoted last season.

Horley, put in a fine performance that saw them hog possession and bring home the bacon with goals from Justin Morgan (x4), Michael Whitmore and Tony Baldwin.

Also great to see Steve Holbrook and Neil Hodges make their competitive debuts for Horley!

Woking Wasps 5 - 3 Horley M3's

Horley travelled to Woking on their first league game under Humza Mirza leadership.

Horley played well and despite doing their best to take the sting out of Wokings attack and grab something for their efforts, they lost 5-3. Goals from Shaun Brennan (x2) and Steve Holbrook (2nd game of the day!)

Special mention to Paul Di Pietro made his debut in goal for Horley, Jakes Hodges first competitive match and Matt Cole found himself playing outfield!

Captain Humza was really pleased despite the loss as this kind of performance will bring results as the season goes on.
