Horley welcomed back Ed Cooper and Connor McAllister to the club and the M1s line up.

Horley looked far more threatening in previous weeks with more a more direct approach taken and the D, with a smash it in and deflect it approach.

Reigate were more controlled on the ball, working it around well, but Horley were equal to it, putting in the hard work chasing it down. Reigate did create a couple of chances but Shaun Brennan was equal to all of them.

Horley put some pressure on and Reigate managed to break but Ross Nel bravely put in an awesome diving tackle to snuff it out.

Reigate got a chance when Horley went down to 9 men with Ralph being sent off for not being 5 at a free hit (he was) and then Liam was sent off for gently and subtly pointing this out to the umpire but all the team fought hard to keep them out till Horley went back to 11.

When Connor was on the ball, he looked dangerous and a few piercing runs showed his skill. The bang it in and deflection tactic almost paid dividends with Steve Holbrook went close with a nifty touch almost rewarded with a goal.

The 2nd half, Horley were confident and the midfield and forwards continued to work hard with Ed, Andy Ho, Alex Coote and Jake Hodges all putting in the runs.

Horley then were undone by a Reigate short corner, controversial doesnt cover it, so this bitter reporter will move on. 1-0 Reigate.

Zeerak went close with a reverse stick strike and with Jack Sangster also working hard, they carried a threat. Horley knocked on the door but couldnt quite find that final touch.

There was a slight surprise towards in the end when Shaun forgot he cant kick the ball outside the D which he was let off with just a free hit.

The final whistle went and Reigate won 1-0, but Horley were unlucky to not come away with something from the game. A top effort from the team ?
