The Horley HC Committee would like to express their thanks to all those who have supported us as we work to find a solution to our pitch issue. Our petition has reached over 1000 signatures – demonstrating that not only our members, but also the wider hockey community feel this is an issue that needs to be heard.

We were hoping to be able to provide you with an update at this time, as we have been busy working behind the scenes with England Hockey to try to find a solution with the pitch providers. We are pleased that the stakeholders are talking, and are now equipped with a better understanding of the implications of the initial decision to convert to 3G. However, we are disappointed about the limited news and continued lack of consultation with ourselves, England Hockey and Sport England following the review meetings.

We continue to explore all our options, so if & when the Government announce a return to play, we are able to get back to playing the sport we love.
