Horley Hockey Club were delighted to enter their junior players into the Mercian Junior Hockey League this year and played their inaugural fixture today. The U10's festival was hosted at Horsham HC and the newly formed Horley Hornets team got stuck in from the start. Winning their first match, they were unlucky not to take points in the other mini-games, but showed buckets of talent and determination against teams who have, in many cases, played together for a few seasons (Woking x2, Cheam and Horsham). Big thanks to coach Connor McAllister for his words of wisdom and encouragement, and to all the parents for their enthusiastic support. Well done to all those juniors taking part - you made us absolutely proud as punch.
