With 6 new players helping to further strengthen the squad the Ladies 1st team looked to build on a successful 2015/16 season in an expanded league of 12 teams.
Getting off to a flying start by winning the first four league games the team have maintained high levels of performance despite the challenges posed by rotating a large squad of talented players. The team finished in fourth position having won or drawn more than 75% of their games and playing some of the best hockey seen by the team in recent seasons.
Although just missing out on promotion the team remain well placed for an even better result next season and due to increased player numbers have plans to field a 2nd ladies (Development) team.
