Horley HC can confirm that Arfan Akhtar has left the club in order to allow more time to attend to personal matters.

Arfan will be stepping down from all positions held within the HHC Committee, Coaching team and playing squads with immediate effect.

Head coach, Peter Bradby, will assume all on-going coaching activities (including Back to Hockey) and will now start the search for a suitable replacement.

Arfan has been a fantastic contributor to the club over the last season, winning the Captain's cup for Endeavour along the way for his efforts during the 2015/16 campaign. He has been praised for his manner in coaching the Ladies first team and for the increase in commitment from players that saw the Ladies reach a fourth placed finish in Division 8 of the Surrey Ladies Hockey League.

The HHC Committee would like to express their gratitude to Arfan for his hard work and commitment over the last few years and wish him well for the future.
